Applications
STARACID IM is used to manufacture slow setting bituminous emulsions. The different types of emulsions produced with STARACID IM will be applied for soil stabilisations, fog seals, the production of dense graded cold mixes and in the cold recycling of bituminous mixtures.
Advantages
The usage of STARACID IM guarantees the manufacturing of bituminous emulsions with very slow breaking times and, most of all, very stable emulsions. STARACID IM will be dispersed in the water tank of the emulsion plant, using a temperature around 35- 45°C and after soapificated with hydrochloric acid.
Modality of Use
The dosing of STARACID IM varies from 0,70% to 2,50% on the emulsion weight, and is based on the type of application. To increase the quality of the final emulsion it is recommended the addition of 0,1-0,3% calcium chloride.
Typical Applications:
PRIME COAT |
1,50% - 2,50% |
COLD MIX |
0,70% - 1,50% |
SLURRY SEAL |
1,00% – 2,50% |
COLD RECYCLING |
0,70% – 2,00% |
Package
In plastic drums, 200 kg net weight. At request the product can be delivered also in 1.000 kg IBC container or as bulk.
Storage
STARACID IM can be stored for minimum 24 month in his original closed packing. Avoiding excessive storage temperatures the product will conserve as his fluidity as his qualitative characteristics.
