Applications

WARM-MIX®will be added for all kind of hot mixed and hot recycled asphalt.

Advantages

The addition of  WARM-MIX to asphalts permits to:
• use manufacturing temperatures 30°C lower than normal, introducing a consistent reduction of costs in production and decreasing the CO2 emissions;
• pave and compact the asphalt with lower temperatures, avoiding especially for modified asphalts problems by delay until paving;
• improve the workability of hot recycled asphalts and in cold climates;
• improve the workability of the asphalt ;
• maintain the traditional mixing time, without to reduce the production capacity of the plant.

Employment

3 kg WARM-MIX will be added per each ton of asphalt into the asphalt plant mixer. After the introduction of the dried aggregates into the mixer, with 30°C lower temperature than normal, WARM-MIX will be added together with the filler.
The workability will be improved without to modify the bitumen. All known bituminous binder can be applied, as normal as polymer modified and also recycled asphalt.

Dosage

Can be used as for continuous type as for batch type asphalt plants. Normally it will be added by automatic dosing devices, otherwise it can be added manually.

Packing

The product can be delivered in 25 kg plastic bags, in 500 kg big bags or at request in bulk for silos.

Storage

WARM-MIX® must be stored under dry conditions in the temperature range between -15°C and 70 °C.
