RED BITUMINOUS CONGLOMERATES

This is a special technology used to obtain red asphalts. This technology is similar to the traditional one , used for the bituminous conglomerates ; besides the aggregates and the bitumen , it is required to be added to the mixture : iron oxide and a plasticizer. The obtained colouring , resistant on time , allows to realize pleasant environmental effects and more than that , to increase the safety of the traffic in the dangerous zones , improving the visibility of the road surface.

Modality of use
The percentage of STARRED SC varies according to the desired tone ; it is anyway between 4% and 6% from the aggregate weight. In order to improve the performance of the coloured asphalt , it is recommend the addition of the plasticizer STARPLAST SC , in quantities of 4 to 8 kg / asphalt mc.

Dosage
The production method of the red conglomerate it is similar to the traditional bituminous conglomerates one.

Package
STARRED SC is supplied in 25 kg bags ; STARPLAST SC in 200 litre steel drums.
